This one was taken early in the morning, near the point where the Escalante River begins and the lake ends. I had been cruising for about an hour, pre-dawn, at low-throttle in shallow water, navigating from the bow - my favorite position. If I had have waited a bit, all my wavelets would have died out and I could have gotten a better picture.

Escalante canyon is _very_ cool. A labyrinth of watery passages and hideaways, many narrower than the boat.
